Speech-Language Pathologist (Full Time)

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
  • State license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist

Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Certified Teacher to join our team at Chatter & Chalk Academy in Morgantown, WV. As a Certified Teacher, you will play a key role in creating and implementing engaging, developmentally appropriate lessons for children ages 3-5, fostering academic, social, and emotional growth. You will collaborate with fellow educators and support staff to ensure each child’s individual needs are met, while providing a nurturing and enriching environment. Ideal candidates will have a current West Virginia teaching certification, a love for early childhood education, and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications:

  • Hold teacher certification in the state of WV or be eligible for teacher certification in WV
  • 2 years experience working with early or elementary education

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with significant college credit in early childhood education or related field of study, Child Development Associate Credential (CDA), or 6 hours of Early Childhood Education credit preferred
  • 2 years experience working with early or elementary education, or child care
  • WV Training Certificate in Early Care and Education (WVTCECE) or equivalent
  • Be enrolled in WVTCECE or Apprenticeship for Child Development Specialist (ACDS) program
  • Positive oral and written communication skills

Administrative Assistant (Full Time)
This position provides administrative support and reception for Chatter & Chalk Academy and Chatter & Chalk Development Center. This position plays a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the early education center and clinic. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, have strong communication skills, and possess a passion for contributing to a positive, inclusive environment for children and families. Experience with insurance billing preferred but not required.
 

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or higher preferred.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative support role, preferably in a childcare or educational setting
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Knowledge of early childhood education or therapy services is a plus
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information (HIPAA training provided)
  • A positive, customer-service-oriented attitude and passion for working with children and families

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the leadership team, teachers, and therapists
  • Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and direct inquiries to appropriate team members
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars for the early education center and therapy clinic
  • Assist with registration and enrollment of children into the program
  • Maintain accurate records for children, including health forms, permission slips, and progress reports
  • Coordinate and schedule parent-teacher meetings, therapy sessions, and workshops
  • Handle basic office duties such as filing, data entry, and organizing educational materials
  • Assist with billing and insurance paperwork related to therapy services
  • Maintain a welcoming and organized front office for families, staff, and visitors
  • Assist in the creation and distribution of newsletters and other communications to families
  • Support the preparation of educational materials and classroom supplies
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations for educational and health-related documentation
Volunteer

Qualifications

  • At least 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Experience with early childhood education preferred
  • Positive oral and written communication skills required

Responsibilities

  • Assist staff with clean-up and general maintenance of the childcare area
  • Support staff with classroom activities
